Academics

Montessori Departments:

The acclaimed and tested methods of Dr. Maria Montessori, based on theaching through tangible objects is followed. Children learn best when they are using their five senses i.e. touch, hearing, sight, taste and smell. This brings the real world into the classroom. It sustains their interest and gives the preschool children the best possible start to learn. No set time-table is followed, this allows the children to learn according to their individual needs. A beginning is made in three ‘R’s Reading, Writing and Arithmetic. In addition, healthy competitions are organised.

SBCS nurtures the innate creativity in every child and provides plenty of room for students to develop and apply their abilities to think out of the box.

Through ongoing professional development program and workshops, teachers are kept up to date with the changing trends in the field of education. This ensures that our teachers are also on a constantly progressive learning curve.

Information and communication technology is an integral part of the curriculum enhancing and enriching the learning experience at SBCS as we truly believe, "a picture is worth a thousand words".

Creative skills are distinguished by a high level of interest in music and fine arts and this is strongly encouraged at SBCS. Skilled professionals help students to develop their expressive artistic potential and tap it to the hilt. Students are also exposed to public speaking and histrionic skills through elocution, debates, school plays and theatre.
